As an Account Manager at MKE Benefits, my goal is to foster client relationships that are more qualitative than quantitative. After nearly 30 years in higher education, my journey led me to this role, where I build engaging relationships with businesses and residents by making information relatable and relevant to their circumstances. I enjoy supporting clients with a collaborative approach, with active listening, critical thinking, and practical solutions applied to ensure that they will be provided the best options for their specific needs.
Before joining MKE Benefits, I was most recently a Senior Advisor at UW-Milwaukee, where I served as the academic advisor to all master’s degree students in the Lubar College of Business. I also served for nearly a decade at Concordia University Wisconsin, where I supported non-traditional students and faculty as a student advisor, faculty development specialist, and adjunct professor. I earned my B.A. in History and English and M.A. in U.S. History at Marquette University. After several years in corporate positions in Chicago and Minneapolis, I returned to Milwaukee to earn my Ph.D. in History and Modern Studies at UWM, where I focused my research on the intersections of gender, generation, and popular media in the Cold War era.
Outside of work, I am lifelong local sports fan, and especially enthusiastic about the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers. I also am a vocal proponent of Milwaukee’s deep and rich history and culture. Architecture, dining, and music are among my favorite topics to dig into and discover eclectic gems. Having grown up on Milwaukee’s south side and lived for more than 20 years in downtown Milwaukee, I now reside in the Riverwest neighborhood with my husband and our tuxedo cat, Boo.
