Sara Hanaway

I’ve called Milwaukee home for more than 30 years, ever since moving here to attend Marquette University. After graduating, I chose to stay and build both my career and life in this city. Following nearly three decades supporting two major brands, Harley-Davidson and BRP, I’m excited to begin a new chapter that allows me to lean into one of my greatest strengths, building strong relationships and helping people navigate change in real time.

I understand firsthand how important it is to have a health insurance plan that meets you where you are in life. Early on, I experienced a life-changing car accident and relied on coverage during my recovery. Years later, after 22 years at Harley-Davidson, I had to navigate the system again when my role was eliminated, and I needed to understand my options. Five years later, when I left the corporate world to start my own business, I turned to MKE Benefits to help guide me through coverage decisions. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for guidance, clarity, and support during pivotal moments.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen that clear communication and strong relationships truly make the difference. I believe the best partnerships are built on trust, consistency, and follow-through, and I’m committed to providing that level of support to every client I work with.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, running, walking, hiking, writing, cooking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and embracing my favorite role, being an auntie.
